Barcelona: As Sunshine Flows into Trees (Parc de la Ciutadella)

"And see the peaceful trees extend
their myriad leaves in leisured dance—
they bear the weight of sky and cloud
upon the fountain of their veins."

MySpot: I Will Bring You the Lily that Laughs

"Have you seen but a bright lily grow
Before rude hands have touched it?
Have you marked but the fall of snow
Before the soil hath smutched it?
Have you felt the wool of beaver,
Or swan's down ever?
Or have smelt o' the bud o' the brier,
Or the nard in the fire?
Or have tasted the bag of the bee?
O so white, O so soft, O so sweet is she!"

Barcelona, 2013: Casa Rocamora & Casa Serra

Casa Antoni Rocamora
Old world Gothic and Renaissance architecture meets new world design with
Casa Antoni Rocamora in Barcelona.
Built in 1914 by brothers Bonaventura and Joaquim Bassegoda,
this building serves as commercial real estate along Passeig de Gracia.

Casa Pere Serra
The Casa Serra is a building in the Modernisme style in Barcelona,
designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
The building was built as a residence between 1903 and 1908, for Pere Serra,
although he never actually lived there.
It has subsequently served several purposes,
and is now the home of the provincial council of the Province of Barcelona.

Miscellaneous: Green Background

"Absolute green is the most restful color,
lacking any undertone of joy, grief, or passion.
On exhausted men this restfulness has a beneficial effect,
but after a time it becomes tedious."

TTD: The Desert Tells a Different Story

"One’s options in this world are as vast as the horizon,
which is technically a circle and thus infinitely broad.
Yet we must choose each step we take with utmost caution,
for the footprints we leave behind are as important as the path we will follow.
They’re part of the same journey — our story."

Barcelona, 2013: A Sea of Boats

"Let your boat of life be light, packed with only what you need -
a homely home and simple pleasures,
one or two friends, worth the name,
someone to love and someone to love you,
a cat, a dog, and a pipe or two,
enough to eat and enough to wear,
and a little more than enough to drink;
for thirst is a dangerous thing."

Jerome K. Jerome
